A really beautiful stone villa, situated on the top of a hill in a quiet environment. Villas Faragi are quite isolated, with few other villas scattered around in the nearby hills. However, the live city of Rethimno abstains just five kilometers long, and just two kilometers, from the full of life, tourist region of Platanias and the village of Maroulas. You can reach the bottom slope of the hill through a path on foot.
Looking at the villa through the central gate we pass from the space of the swimming-pool, which to a large extent it is surrounded with lawn and has a beautiful courtyard with fantastic view of the valley to the sea.

The interior decoration of the house is characteristic. Stone walls and a roof timber, a stone arch that connect the kitchen with the lounge and a door in the kitchen leads to the garden and to the swimming-pool.
There is a bathroom with hydromassage, two bedrooms in the ground floor, one of which has access to the swimming-pool. In the first floor, there is a double bedroom that has a shower with hydromassage and has also a big balcony that has a great view of the swimming-pool.

History
The visitors that they wish to know the history of the island, can begin their tour from the Venetian fortress ” Fortezza ” in the town of Rethimno. Important turning-point is also ” Ancient Eleftherna ” in 25km where the necropolis of Mykines era was discovered, but also the village ” Margarites ” in 26km with traditional workshops of ceramics and pottery. Another excursion can include the visit in ” Arkadi ” monastery, in 18km, which is celebrated 8 November, but also ” Prevelis ” monastery.
Nature
Nature lovers can know the particular morphology of the island with one famous and the bigger gorge of Crete, the Gorge of ” Samaria ” (90km. ) but also the gorges ” Mills ” (5km) and ” Prasses ” (9 km). Finally there is the gorge of ” Kourtaliotissas> ” on the street to southernly of the island. Beaches
Setting off from Faragi villas we reach the beach of ” Platanias “, just 2km away, where you can enjoy your bath but also sports in combination with the comforts that beach bars of the region offer, covering all the tastes for all hours. Water sports enthousiasts should definitely visit the beaches in ” Perivolia ” and Myssiria Rethimno, where they can try any sport they wish.
North and easternly, on the way to Heraklion just 10klm. you will meet Skaleta which is a quiet place for swimming. A little further (20km. ) there is the beach of ” Panormo “, with the picturesque village. Even further , about 28 km, you will meet the beautiful settlement of ” Bali “, where you will find splendid beaches and fresh fish tavernas.
North and westwards (to Chania) there are two of the most popular beaches of the prefecture: the ” Episkopi ” 15km away and a little further at about 27km the ” Georgioupoli “. The last one is famous for its cold and clean waters.
Setting off from the villas and heading this time to the south you will find in 55km the beach ” Rodakino “, in 28km the beach of ” Plakias “, where there are a lot of taverns, cafes and bars and the ” Ammoudi ” in 36km, a frequent destination of nudists. Follows the known beach of ” Preveli ” in 35km and a little more westwards in 50km, will find in the wild landscape the quiet beach of ” Kerame “. Other busy beaches in 50km are that of ” Triopetras ” and “Akoumia”, while in 60km you meet the ” Agia Galini ” with the rich nightly life and the ” Agios Pavlos “.
